Villa Two Peaks
Villa Two Peaks in the Westman Islands, Iceland
The Villa is in a-established neighborhood.
The philosophy was to explore the boundary between old and new and used the environment as inspiration by looking at the island from the air and extracting impressions by using Heimaklettur, Eiði and Klif where the contrasts of the mountain and foothills meet the building´s form was sculpted.
The building form is two peaks which rise in each end of the building with a flat roof in between, forming the stillness between.
The house is ca160m². The entrance is is fitted into a hallway that divides the spaces between rooms, garage and living room.
